Superion, an IT and software company, is in process of adding 355 jobs at its Lake Mary offices, and investing $12.3 million in office expansion and buildout over the next three years.

The average wage for the jobs is $55,177, excluding benefits, according to Seminole County.

Superion provides software for city, municipal and county governments, as well as public safety and justice agencies, and nonprofit organizations. It currently has about 400 employees in the area, and has already added about 200 people locally for the ongoing expansion.

Despite the state cutting back on public funds for incentives, Seminole County and the City of Lake Mary approved a local incentive package of $355,000 for Superion – split evenly between the two governments – through the county’s Jobs Growth Incentive program.

Superion, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Lake Mary, is located at 1000 Business Center Drive. It will lease an additional 87,000-square-foot facility for up to 12.5 years, according to the county.

"The expansion of our Lake Mary office is the latest step in our business growth strategy to build nationally recognized Centers of Excellence for our innovative software solutions," Superion CEO Simon Angove said. "The Lake Mary expansion will accelerate the delivery of solutions that help transform public service operations and support better engagement with communities."

Seminole County Chairman John Horan said the county is “committed to preparing our community with training and support so our workforce can meet the demands of our companies now, and well into the future."

Superion says the new positions include product management and support, software development, professional services, finance, sales, marketing, and administration.

Tim Giuliani, president and CEO of Orlando Economic Partnership said Superion considered two other locations in North Carolina and Iowa.
